Join our annual gathering of 37th Armor Regimental Alumni

Individual Registration Cost $189.96.

Cost includes group transportation from the hotel to Fort Bliss, food truck lunch and Field Day with current 1-37 and 2-37 Soldiers during Awards and Recognition ceremony, Reunion SWAG and miscellaneous costs associated with executing the reunion.

Situation:

All 37th Armor Regiment Alumni are alerted to begin planning and preparation for maximum participation in OPERATION HOMECOMING II, the 28th Annual Reunion of regimental alumni. Reconnaissance efforts confirm that El Paso Texas provides an exceptional location for reunion activities.

Mission:

37th Armor Alumni deploy and conduct Operation Homecoming II vicinity El Paso, TX 27-30 June 2024 to reconnect, reorganize, and reunite with the fellow Alumni and Soldiers of the Regiment.

Concept of the Operation:

A. Planning and coordination is ongoing. Anticipated events and activities outlined below:

• 27 Jun 24 – Deployment to Fort Bliss and El Paso/Reception
• 28 Jun 24 – Organizational/Field Day with current active Battalions on Fort Bliss
• 29 Jun 24 – Wiseman Meeting, Optional Excursions (see below)
• 30 Jun 24 – Re-deploy to home station

B. OPORD to be published NLT 15 March, 2024.

C. Registration opens 15 March 2024. Registration closes on 30 May 2024.

White Sands National Park

Excursion #1: $99.00

Like No Place Else on Earth

Rising from the heart of the Tularosa Basin is one of the world's great natural wonders - the glistening white sands of New Mexico. Great wave-like dunes of gypsum sand have engulfed 275 square miles of desert, creating the world's largest gypsum dunefield. White Sands National Park preserves a major portion of this unique dunefield, along with the plants and animals that live here.

Group transportation to and from White Sands National Park. Stop at the visitors center before heading off to the Yucca Picnic area for an included box lunch. Then move over to the Interdune Boardwalk for sightseeing activities and walking/hiking.

El Paso Brewery Tour

Excursion #2: $49.00

Sample local beer and chat up old times

Experience two of El Paso’s very own Breweries. The DeadBeach Brewery is one of El Paso’s most successful local breweries and a local favorite. The company has just moved into a beautiful new location and opened a restaurant to match. Three Missions Brewery is a micro-brewery in the valley. Delicious beer in a historical building that has been rehabbed. Food trucks with local cuisine will be available. We will spend two hours at each. Depending on the number of people that sign up, we may expand to include Mountain Star Brewery. Just as good as the first two and could have easily been chosen as number two. Expect a great time as we sample the local beers and chat up old times. Group transportation to and from the breweries is included in the cost of this excursion. Beer and food is not included and must be purchased by the individual.

The Fine Print

The Ticket Purchaser, their guests and dependents (Participants) agree that they knowingly and voluntarily do accept and agree to the following terms: That Event and option tickets plus fees are not refundable; That surplus funds from registration fees will be rolled into the Alumni Associations general fund ; That Participants agree to share their contact information with the 37th Armor Alumni, its organizers and members (Alumni) for the planning and execution of this event; That Participants agree to be contacted by the Alumni organizers via text message, phone calls, email, Social media sites, push notifications and other means deemed appropriate by the Event organizers; That Participants acknowledge that event activities may be photographed or recorded and agrees to allow their photo, video or film likeness to be used for any lawful purpose by the event holders, sponsors, organizers, and/or their assigns. That Participant agrees to any and all Event changes, substitutions and disbursements made by the Alumni Event organizers to execute the Event and respond to unforeseen circumstances impacting the Event; That Participants assume all liability for the risks and dangers that could arise out of, or occur during their participation in the Event; That Participants release, waive, discharge and release the Alumni and their subcontractors for any liability resulting from any personal injury, accident or illness (including death), and/or property loss, however caused, arising from, or in any way related to the travel to or from and participation in the Event, except for those caused by the willful misconduct and gross negligence of the above parties, as applicable; That Participants agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless the Alumni from any and all claims, actions, suits, procedures, costs, expenses, damages and liabilities including, but not limited to, attorney’s fees, arising from, or in any way related to the Participant’s travel to or from and participation in the Event.
